Camp Twiglet

To celebrate the 85th anniversary of the iconic British snack, Twiglets, I collaborated with the renowned creative director Miss Cakehead and Helix 3D to design, create, fabricate, install (and even staff) an edible installation of three ‘Twigwams’ made from 1.5 tonnes of Twiglets (which equates to over 1.7 million Twiglets in total).

Camp Twiglet’ was unveiled at Jamie Oliver’s food and music festival, ‘The Big Feastival’ (29th – 31st August 2014), held on the Cotswolds farm of Blur’s Alex James. Taking over 500 hours to construct, 'Camp Twiglet' gave visitors a chance to undertake unique festival experiences – all surrounded by the edible structures.

Each Twigwam had its own theme that festival-goers could experience for free during the weekend, with fancy dress boxes, giant board games and festival body art. This, of course, was all in addition to an unlimited amount of Twiglets that were available to sample during the three days of the festival.

'Camp Twiglet' also acted as a stage when it hosted a ‘secret’ acoustic set by the band ‘Hyde & Beast’ on the 31st August 2014.
